Priests and the Clergy Sex Abuse Scandal Related Media Coverage Interview
of Dr. Leslie Lothstein by Katherine DiGiulio The following interview was conducted on June 17, 2002, for Crossroads Magazine, a weekly television show produced by the Office of Radio and Television of the Archdiocese of Hartford. Dr. Leslie Lothstein is the Director of Psychology
at the Institute of Living, part of Hartford Hospitals Mental
Health Network. He has been at the Institute of Living for 16 years.
Before that, he was at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Lothstein
estimates that he and his colleagues have treated 600 Catholic priests,
100 Protestant ministers, 1 rabbi and about 50 women religious who come
from all over the world -- South America, Europe, Guam, Philippines,
China, Ireland -- for various psychological disorders. Lothstein spoke
